Lithium Battery Performance Test Project
Release time:2024-01-29 Click:165
The number of lithium battery cycles reflects how many times the battery can be repeatedly charged and discharged.
Depending on the environment in which the lithium battery is used, the cycle life of the battery can be tested at low
temperature, normal temperature and high temperature. If the battery is used for power batteries
(electric vehicles, electric forklifts), etc., the discharge capacity maintenance rate is generally selected as the standard
parameter for waste, and the battery can be relaxed to 60% if it is used for energy storage, electricity storage, etc. We
often contact the battery, if the discharge capacity/initial discharge capacity is less than 60%, there is no need to use,
can not stick to half a day.
Nowadays, lithium batteries are not only used in 3C, but also more and more in the application of power batteries, and
electric vehicles need to change the current when driving under different working conditions. In the current fast pace of
life, the shortage of electric vehicle charging piles has become more and more demanding for fast charging of lithium batteries.
Therefore, it is necessary to test the magnification performance of lithium batteries. Can be tested according to the power battery
national standard. At present, domestic and foreign battery factories are producing special high-rate batteries to meet the needs
of the market, the design of high-rate batteries can be started from the type of living material, extremely one-sided density,
compaction density, electrode selection, welding process and assembly process.
Safety and integrity can be said to be a matter of great concern to battery users, whether it is the explosion of mobile phone
batteries, or the fire of electric vehicles, it is enough to make people scared. The safety of the lithium battery is a project that
must be tested, the safety test content includes overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, drop, heating, vibration, extrusion,
acupuncture, etc., but according to the lithium battery, these safety tests are passive safety tests, which means to take a battery
to take the initiative to destroy the battery to test the battery is safe enough. At the time of inspection, the battery and module
need to be designed accordingly to do the safety and Q full detection, but in the actual use of the process, such as the electric
vehicle out of control into other cars or things, is an irregular collision, may face more complex situations, but the cost of the
test is higher, can only choose the relatively reliable test content.
The effect of temperature on the discharge performance of the battery is directly reflected in the discharge capacity and discharge
voltage. The temperature decreases, the battery internal resistance increases, the electrochemical reaction speed slows down, the
polarization internal resistance increases rapidly, the battery discharge capacity and discharge platform decline, affecting the battery
power and energy output.
For lithium-ion batteries, the low-temperature discharge capacity drops sharply, but the discharge capacity at high temperature is
not lower than the normal temperature, and sometimes slightly higher than the normal temperature capacity, mainly because the
lithium ion migration speed is accelerated at high temperature, the lithium electrode is not like the nickel electrode and the hydrogen
storage electrode at high temperature decomposition or formation of hydrogen to reduce the capacity. When the battery module is
discharging at a low temperature, with the discharge, due to resistance and other reasons, the heat is generated, so that the battery
temperature rises, which is manifested as the voltage rises. With the discharge, the voltage gradually decreases.
